1969 Camaro Restoration project - Application of high build primer and blocking
The next step after panel alignment is done, is the application of an epoxy primer, that has great adhesion to bare metal and also acts as a great rust preventive.
Then a high build primer is applied so we can start blocking the panels straight. Proper blocking is done by applying some guide coat before sanding.

The purpose of guide coat is to identify high and low spots. As you can see in the pictures below
The entire surface of the car will be blocked in this way, filler is added to the low spots to achieve very straight panels.
